Creating a Translated eLearning Module in Articulate Storyline
When creating an eLearning module for a client they may ask for it to be translated into multiple languages. Unfortunately, in Articulate Storyline there is no way to easily integrate a system to add language selection to your module. Unfortunately, this means creating a new eLearning module in the new language. Thankfully creating a translated module is a very simple process that does not take much time at all, if done correctly.
After being requested to create an eLearning module in a different language, you will need to create a translation document to easily create the new translated eLearning module. Once you have your translated file its time to convert your original module into a translated one. The process is extremely simple, and the hardest part is that you may have to do some reorganizing and resizing of pictures and text boxes throughout the module.
Once you have your translation document, the document should look like this:
If your translation document does not resemble this example, make sure you have completed the translation correctly. Here is a quick tutorial on how to do this.
Once you have your translation document, its time to create the new, translated module.
Here are the steps:
1. Click file and go to translation
2. Click import
3. In the file explorer select your translation file
4. Your module should now be translated now adjust text boxes to fit properly in the slides if needed
